Main event will be a WBO intercontinental super welterweight championship with 27-year-old Lukas Konecny, 27-1 (14). The Cech born and German based fighter suffered his single loss to Spaniard Ruben Varon in a European title fight by split decision.
Beside Konecny several well known Spotlight fighters will step into the ring at the giagantic Icehockey arena where the Rolling Stones once played off as well: Sebastian Zbik (8-0-0), Willy Blain (7-0-0) and Karoly Balzsay (8-0-0).
„All three of them will get solid international opposition in Prague”, promoter Dietmar Poszwa said.
Also on the fightcard will be Czech cruiserweight contender and local favorite Rudolf Kraj.
„Our experience with the live audience in the arena and with the people watching on Eurosport in many countries showed that they like to see young contenders like Zbik, Blain and Balzsay”, Poszwa said. “They display great skills and their fights use to be exciting.”
Boxing.de-TV will broadcast the undercard live on the internet. Following up will be a Eurosport live broadcast on TV.
Prague is the first stop of Spotlight Boxing’s tour during fall of 2005. Next up will be an event at Studio 44 in Vienna on October 25.
