Jesse Reid Training Jesse Feliciano

26.08.05 - Highly respected trainer, Jesse Reid, has been hired to train exciting Junior Welterweight prospect Jessie Feliciano, according to Feliciano’s new advisors Albert Falcon and Patrick Doljanin. “I’ve been looking for a trainer for a while”, said Feliciano (12-4-2). “I think Jesse Reid is going to help me improve and get to the next level.”

Reid shared the excitement and optimism of his new charge. “We started working with one of my other fighters (NABF 135 lb. Champ Eleazar Contreras)” this week, added Reid. “Jessie is a tough kid and a good student. I’m working on getting him to shorten-up his punches, not load-up and pace himself a little better.”

The 22 year old Feliciano has proven himself to be an “any place, any time” throw-back fighter. He holds wins over The Contender star, Alfonso Gomez, as well as a brutal knock-out of hot prospect Freddie Cadena. He also has two disputed draws against Al “Speedy” Gonzales and Arturo Morales..

According to Albert Falcon, “Jessie has taken three tough fights in a row that he really shouldn’t have. The decisions were financially motivated. We’re creating a situation were Jessie takes “the right fight.”

“I’ve been impressed with Jessie since the Cadena fight “, said Doljanin. “I really became a fan of his after the Speedy fight. I spent some time speaking with him and his father and was impressed with how much of a gentleman Jessie was and how he carried himself. I thought to myself, I’d love the opportunity to help guide him sometime.”

So what’s in the future for Jessie Feliciano? “He’s ready to get back in the ring”, added Doljanin. He’ll fight in September and again in October. Certainly, we will target the pretenders. I had to laugh when lil’ Paula (Paul Malignaggi) said that they offered a fight to Jessie and the Feliciano’s turned it down. That is a lie and, as usual, the little fella has no credibility. Maybe his female tennis player headband is too tight.”

“At the end of the day, guys like Malignaggi and Dimitry Salita are going to have to take off the diaper if they are to be taken seriously. If that happens, Jessie will make sure that “0” will go”, concluded Doljanin.
