Rahman/Klitschko To Announce “Seek and Destroy!” on Monday

BEVERLY HILLS, CA (September 15, 2005) – WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and WBC interim heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman will announce their world heavyweight championship fight – “Seek and Destroy!” -- at a news conference, Monday, September 19, at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom (9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90210), beginning at 11:30 A.M. PT..

Klitschko, 35-2 (34 KOs), from Kiev, Ukraine, will defend his title against Rahman, 41-5-1 (33 KOs), from Baltimore, MD, Saturday, November 12, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with K2 Promotions, Caesars Palace and Wynn Las Vegas, “Seek and Destroy!” will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

Joining Klitschko and Rahman at the news conference will be promoter Bob Arum, chairman of Top Rank, WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito, 32-4 (23 KOs), from Tijuana, Mexico and his opponent, Manuel Gomez, 28-10-2 (20 KOs), from Laredo, TX. The Margarito-Gomez championship bout will also be featured on the PPV telecast.
