Nick Cook Lights Up 'Showdown II

01.11.05- Powerful Light Heavyweight Nick Cook (14-1, 7KOs) will bring his near perfect record and experience to One in a Million's "Pre-Thanksgiving Showdown II" card Friday, November 18th, 2005 at the Radisson Hotel @ Star Plaza in Merrillville, IN. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the first bout will be at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, starting at $25..

One in a Million, Inc. also formally announced Cook, of LaPorte, IN has signed with the Midwest's premiere professional boxing team.

"Nick has literally overpowered most of his opponents with his strength and ability to move like a lighter fighter," said Octavius James, CEO of One in a Million, Inc. "We're excited about putting him back in the ring for the 'Showdown II' and he's a great addition to our team."

"It is great having Nick come aboard," said Jack Callahan of One in a Million, Inc.

"We also think it's a sign of our success, when so many fighters are joining a team that can help them move through the boxing ranks." Callahan said.

Along with Cook's battle, the "Showdown II" will treat fans to a title defense by IN.B.A. Lightweight Champion Johnny Novak (14-1, 6 KOs).

Chicago Middleweight sensation "Marvelous" Shay Mobley (11-4-1, 4KOs) and fan favorite Ruben "Modern Day Warrior" Galvan (22-7, 9KOs) will also climb into the ring to continue building their championship paths.

"Merciless" Mary McGee (4-0, 3KOs) will be back in actions. Along with Juan "The Mexican Connection" Aguilar (5-1, 3KOs ) will round out the card in his return to the region ring.
