Vitali Klitschko headed to Houston to attend first Super Bowl
27.01.04 - One of the biggest, strongest, toughest and best conditioned athletes in Houston this weekend will not be playing in Super Bowl XXXVIII. In fact, he is not even a football player. “But I have a lot in common with both the Patriots and the Panthers,” said 'People’s Heavyweight Champion' Vitali Klitschko said. “We are all very hard hitters.” Klitschko, of course, is hopeful of a super showdown himself in the near future.

“I really hope Lennox Lewis makes up his mind and announces his decision soon on what he wants to do,“ Klitschko said.
“I know I want to know and the fans deserve to know. If he comes back, a rematch with me would be great for the sport of boxing and something that I want very badly.”
“I feel I deserve to be the one who fights Lennox first if he comes back. I almost had my dream come true when we fought last June in Los Angeles, but the doctor stopped the fight. I have done everything asked since, including knocking out Kirk Johnson in my last fight.”
“Come on, Lennox, buckle up your chin strap and let’s do it again.”
Klitschko, who will arrive Saturday, will watch the Super Bowl as guest of Germany’s Premiere Television. He declined to make a prediction.
“This is an event that I have read and watched and heard about for a long time,” Klitschko said.
“I am just very excited to be able to attend and be a part of it. I expect a great, exciting game.”
Vitali’s younger brother, Wladimir, meantime, will remain in Germany where he has begun training for his next fight. It is expected to be announced in the near future.
