Goossen Tutor Promotions To Stage 5 Cards in 30 Days

11.11.05- Perhaps they should be dubbed as the “World’s Best and Busiest Promoter,” as there is no slowing down for Goossen Tutor Promotions. Goossen Tutor will keep up its hectic pace promoting and co-promoting five major boxing events over the next 30 days coast to coast..

GTP will kick off the upcoming flurry of activity on Thursday, November 17 with its first involvement in promoting the “Miller Lite Fite Night at the Tank” boxing series at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. In partnership with Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment, the event will be headlined by a 12-round IBF light heavyweight world title elimination bout between former WBO Light Heavyweight Champion Julio Gonzalez (38-3, 23 KOs) and world contender, Australian Jason Delisle (18-3-2, 9 KOs).

Two nights later on Saturday, November 19th it’s on to The Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon for “Pound for Pound King – Battle of Champions” as undefeated WBC Junior Welterweight Champion and the consensus number one fighter in the World “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (34-0, 23 KOs) moves up to welterweight to take on two-time former world champion Sharmba Mitchell (56-4, 31 KOs) in a scheduled 12-rounder on HBO. Undefeated 2004 Olympic Champion Andre Ward will also be featured on the same card.

On Friday night, December 2nd Goossen will be staging a Showtime televised “ShoBox: The New Generation” event at the Palace Indian Gaming Center in Lemoore, California where their hot NABF Champion and #2 WBC ranked featherweight contender Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (16-0-1, 9 KOs) faces a compelling challenge against the WBC #7 rated Gamaliel Diaz (19-5-2, 9 KOs).

The Mohegan Sun Casino, 3,000 miles away in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Saturday night, December 10th will be the next stop of the Goossen Tutor sojourn in an IBF Middleweight Title Eliminator confrontation between Goossen Tutor’s #1 IBF rated Sam “King” Solimon (30-7, 12 KOs) against former World Junior Middleweight Champion and Felix Trinidad, Shane Mosely conqueror, Ronald “Winky” Wright (49-2, 25 KOs), to be televised live on HBO.

The final stop of this month-long blitz is back to California, when WBA Lightweight Champion Juan Diaz (28-0, 14 KOs) will be featured in a rematch (July, 2004) with the man from whom he wrested his title, former two-time world champion Lakva Sim, on December 15 on one of the hippest sports shows today, FSN’s “Best Damn Sports Show Period.”

What happens after that? Well, Goossen Tutor will probably get back to work preparing for a more hectic and successful 2006 schedule.
