The Memphis Grizzlies Salute Jermain Taylor

MEMPHIS, November 14 – World middleweight champion Jermain Taylor will take time out from the intense training schedule for his December 3rd rematch with Bernard Hopkins when he meets with fans tonight at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. “The city of Memphis has welcomed me and the people of this city have allowed me to have one of my best training camps ever,” said the unbeaten Taylor, who moved his camp from Miami to Memphis due to the storms that devastated South Florida..

“I’m happy to meet with my fans and I assure them that I will be victorious on December 3rd.”

The evening is being called "Grizzlies Night With JermainTaylor." Jermain will meet and greet fans at the FedEx Forum at 6:00pm, just before the hometown Grizzlies battle the Los Angeles Lakers. As part of the Southeastern Boxing Club’s group night, the 2000 US Olympic Bronze medalist will also be available to sign autographs for ticket holders to the game that night.

Tickets, priced at $800, $600, $400, $200 are on sale now at the Mandalay Bay Theatre Box Office. Tickets also will be sold at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (Tower Records/WOW!, Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Robinsons-May stores and Ritmo Latino). The Taylor vs. Hopkins 2 pay-per-view telecast, beginning at 6 p.m. (PT) / 9 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, December 3, has a suggested retail price of $49.95, will be distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and will be available to more than 50 million pay-per-view homes. The telecast will be available in HD-TV for those viewers who can receive HD. HBO Pay-Per-View is the leading supplier of event programming to the pay-per-view industry.
