Golden Boy inks Walter Matthysee

LOS ANGELES, December 4 - Explosive, dynamic, and charismatic, Argentina's Walter Dario Matthysee is one of boxing's rising stars, and United States boxing fans will finally get their chance to see Golden Boy Promotions latest signee live in action when he faces Xavier Tolliver on the December 8th edition of HBO Latino's "Oscar De La Hoya Presents Boxeo De Oro"..

Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya is understandably pleased with the newest addition to the GBP roster.

"Walter Matthysee has the makings of a legitimate star and I am proud to have him on our team," said De La Hoya. "He has fight-ending power, and he is always looking to put on a great show. Boxing fans will love this young man the instant they see him."

Matthysee (23-0, 22 KOs, 1 NC) is a 27-year-old native of Santa Fe, Argentina and a three year pro. Holder of the WBO Latino and WBC Mundo Hispano welterweight titles, El Terrible's last 19 wins have come by knockout, and he is currently ranked second in the world by the WBO, sixth by the IBF, and seventh by the WBA.
