Ndou and Goossen Tutor Promotions Seperate

09.12.05 - The “Black Panther” Lovemore Ndou and Goossen Tutor Promotions have agreed to part ways. Ndou has been promoted by Goossen-Tutor for the last three years and feels that now is the right time for a change and the super lightweight contender is a promotional free agent. Ndou wishes to thank Dan Goossen, Tom Brown and all the staff at Goossen-Tutor Promotions for their help..

“Dan Goossen and Tom Brown have been very good to me, but I’m looking forward to working with other promoters now and I want to become world champion,” said Ndou. “Give me Ricky Hatton, give me Floyd Mayweather, give me Miguel Cotto. I know I still have what it takes to beat these guys.”

34 year-old Ndou took fights at short notice with Sharmba Mitchell, Miguel Cotto and Junior Witter during the last two years only to lose close twelve round points decisions on each occasion.

“You never hear other fighters calling out Lovemore Ndou because they know with a proper preparation, I will knock them out!” said Ndou.

The South African born Sydney, Australia resident is currently rated IBF No.5, WBC No.5 and No.10 by The Ring magazine at super lightweight.

With a record of 41 wins, 8 losses, 1 draw and 27 wins by knockout, Ndou has tremendous experience at the highest level and in October in his first fight working as a trainer, helped Sharon “Wild Thing” Anyos win the WBC womens featherweight world title.

“Sharon’s world title win has inspired me even more,” said Ndou. “I will not rest until I become world champion and I am ready to fight anyone in an eliminator to get to a world title fight.”
