Warren releases Maloney

19.01.06 - Frank Warren today announced Frank Maloney will be released from his exclusive consultancy agreement in January 2006, although fighters currently managed by Frank Maloney including Scott Harrison, Andy Morris and Gary Young etc. will continue to be exclusively promoted by Sports Network..

Frank Maloney will continue to work closely with Sports Network in furthering the careers of these fighters.

Frank Warren commented: "Frank has worked as a consultant with Sports Network during the past 5 years and I would like to personally thank him for his efforts on behalf of Sports Network. We look forward to continuing to promote these great young boxers managed by Frank and continuing our close relationship. We wish Frank all success in the pursuit of his private interest in the world of boxing."

Frank Maloney commented: "I have enjoyed my time working with the team at Sports Network and Frank Warren but have come to the decision that it is now time for me to move on. Even though I managed the World Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis, I learnt far more about the promotional side of the business through working alongside Frank. I will continue to achieve the best for my fighters that are contracted with Sports Network like Scott Harrison plus future world champions in the making Andy Morris and Gary Young. I would like to thank everyone at Sports Network for making my five years there enjoyable and I remain on good terms with everyone."
