"I got a great reception," said O’Donnell, whose parents both come from Galway. "The people got behind me from the start, they really seemed to appreciate my style.
"There was some of my family there as well, so I really felt at home. My promoter Mick Hennessy says I will be coming back to Ireland, so I am looking forward to that."
Of his opponent he continued: "Bediouri was tough, a real character. He was just the kind of opponent I need. I don’t want easy fights; I want tests that will stand me in good stead later on in my career."
Next for the Robert McCracken trained fighter is an eight-rounder at the York Hall in Bethnal Green on 17th February. There are also plans for him to fight in Canada and America this year.
