09.06.06 - By Harry Summers Jr.: Fleet-footed junior welterweight “Chocolata” Naoufel Ben Rabah is seeking to make history when he challenges Juan Urango for the vacant IBF 140lb title in Florida later this month. A victory will see the 24-1 (13) West Australian-based fighter become the first Tunisian to win a professional boxing world title..
“Choc’s going to make history in what I believe will be an easy fight,” said the 28-year-old’s trainer/manager Craig Christian. “We’ll be arriving in Florida a couple weeks before the fight intent on bringing that title back home.”
A title win will see Christian put out a challenge to another Australian import. “After Rabah wins the title, hopefully we can lure Kostya Tszyu out of retirement.”
Rabah fights Juan Urango at the Hard Rock Live Arena, Hollywood, Florida, on June 30. The fight will be the televised main event on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights”.
