Bernard Hopkins to be Honored by Mayor of Philadelphia

15.06.06 - Former undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World and new IBO Light Heavyweight Title holder Bernard Hopkins will be honored by the Mayor and City of Philadelphia for his legendary career and stirring victory Saturday night in Atlantic City over Antonio Tarver. Hopkins will receive a proclamation from the Mayor and be named a Community Engagement Ambassador for Peace. Governor Rendell, who made a congratulatory phone call to Hopkins on Sunday, and U.S. Congressman Chaka Fattah have been invited to attend.
