"It´s time to step up to the next level" states Falco Behling, who heads Elite.
Salvatore Annunziata and Juan Mauricio Marino clash for the vacant IBF Youth jr middle title August 28 in Agnone, Italy.
Former EBU middle champ Sebastian Sylvester returns to the ring already on Friday in Vienna when he takes on Czech veteran loser Petr Rykala. Sylvester will also fight August 26 in Oldenburg on the Abraham vs Miranda bill.
Belorussian lightheavy Mahamed Ali lost a majority decision to Aleksyi Kuziemsky on yesterday´s Spotlight Boxing promotion in Hamburg in what must have been the fight of the night. Both were very good amateurs. The televised fights (on EuroSport) were a bit disappointing with heavyweight Egon Roth struggling to outscore unknown Croatian Ivica Perkovic.
Arena Box Promotion´s September 9 show Hamburg is will now most certainly feature an EU titlefight at 160 on top with Lion Mahir taking on Dirk Dzemski. Promoter Ahmet Oener expects contracts to be signed next week. Also on the bill will be heavyweight Adnan Serin and jr middle Mustapha Karagol. There´s a definite Turkish touch to Arena and with the many Turks in Germany they might do well at the gate.
