Nolan, & Mitchell twins take Titles

28.08.06 - By Jeff "Big Bazooka" Linenfelser at ringside: Silverhawk Boxing pyt on another perfect show Saturday eve at the Pompano Cinema Club in Pompano Beach Florida, showing why they are truely leading the pack in boxing excitement! Leo "Paco" Nolen won a hard fought DQ victory over the very game and rugged Ed Phipps in the 8th round after Phipps lost his mouthpiece several times forcing Referee Garry to end the fight giving Nolen the win for the USBO Heavyweight Title..

Aaron "Homiside" Mitchell won the IBO Intercontinental Middleweight Title on a very hard fought Christopher "The Hammer" Holt, Holt was relentless, and after taking several very hard shots over 6 rounds in the scheduled 12, the Referee had to call a halt to the bought do to a bad cut on the eye of Holt, this "phone booth" fight kept the crowd on their feet from bell to bell !

In Light Middleweight action, Eric "Murder" Mitchell won the NBA Intercontinental Title over slick veteran "Fearless" Fernando Hernandez of Chicago when the Referee had seen enough in the 8th round. Hernandez gave and took some horrible shots but the bigger and stronger Mitchell backed him up with big power shots from the opening bell, Hernandez was dropped with a series of body shots in the 8th and the Referee had seen enough to protect the fighters and stopped the bout.

Hernandez, and both Mitchell brothers spent several hours talking about the fight in the Emergency Room of a local hospital as several broken bones and abrasions on these tough World class fighters wre mended. Aaron Mitchell finished his fight with over 6 broken bones in both hands to still gain the Title.
