In only her third mixed martial arts outing Walker knocked out Angela Wilson in a mere five seconds to record one of the fastest victories in the sports history.
"In person Shelby had a warm smile, an outgoing personality, appreciative of the fans and respectful to her opponents, she was a class act in the sport and will be greatly missed in the fistic family”, said Shelby's last opponent and one of her professional hero’s Mia St John.
“It was an honour to meet and get to know the person and fighter known as Shelby ‘Girl’ Walker”, fondly added St John.
"She was a wonderful person who inspired many people," said her manager, Boxing Insider’s Larry Goldberg in a statement issued on Walker's website.
“Shelby should be remembered as the fun loving beautiful person who was the life of any party and got to live her dream. There is so much about her life people never got to know.
