Polish Boxing Prospects Featured On Solo Boxeo This Friday

Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 5:30pm with the first bell at 6:30pm. Tickets, starting at $30, are on sale in advance by calling 312-226-5800.
Said Pesoli, “Masternak and Fonfara are terrific young prospects. They’ve both impressed me in their previous fights. Earlier this month Tomasz Adamek was in Chicago defending his world title in front of thousands of Chicago Polish fight fans and that is exactly the kind of future success both of them want to emulate.”
Nineteen year old heavy handed Masternak, 3-0 (3KO’s) from Staro Lagowica, Poland will battle undefeated Chicagoan William Choulout, 1-0 (1KO) in a four round light heavyweight bout.
Last month Masternak stunned the packed house at the Aragon Ballroom with a thrilling first round knockout of Jason Medina. Choulout made his pro debut with a third round technical decision over Reynaldo Reyes on February 3, 2006 in Chicago.
Eighteen year old Fonfara, 2-0 from Warsaw will face Chicagoan Johnny Higgins in a four round welterweight bout. Fonfara took a unanimous decision over Gregory Holmes at the Odeum in Villa Park, IL in his last fight on June 23, 2006. Higgins will be making his pro debut in this bout.

Jose Manuel Ortega vs. Ramon Guevara, welterweights, six rounds,
Mateusz Masternak vs. William Choulout, light heavyweight, four rounds
Andrzej Fonfara vs. Johnny Higgins, welterweights, four rounds
Marcos Esquivel vs. Marsay Buggs, super lightweights, four rounds
The open to the public weigh-in for this event will be held on Thursday, October 19 at Mariscos El Veneno located at 6651 S. Pulaski on the southwest side of Chicago starting at 7pm.
The Master of Ceremonies for this event will be the internationally recognized voice of Latino boxing, Lupe Contreras.
