Brock Supports Superfighter

Oct. 22, 2006 - Currently preparing for his November 11th title bout against Wladimir Klitschko at Madison Square Garden, America’s only undefeated heavyweight contender, Calvin “The Boxing Banker” Brock, has released the following statement in support of the Superfighter tournament.

Calvin Brock:

Superfighter is one of the best concepts I know of that can positively enhance and raise the profile of the sport of boxing by providing world class boxers the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a new and exciting format before a worldwide audience.

Fans around the globe will have the opportunity to see eight, great boxers go all out in a one night, single elimination tournament with the winner walking away with a very substantial $5 million prize.

With the shortage of available televised boxing dates, Superfighter provides an additional high profile opportunity for these top boxers, both former and future champions, to earn a significant amount of money while receiving the exposure necessary to raise their profiles among fight fans around the world.

In dealing with Superfighter organizers Warren Spooner and Stephen Duval, I have found them to be men of great integrity and honor. Their sincerity and dedication to the betterment of boxing is beyond reproach.

I applaud Superfighter and am confident that its organizers will deliver an exciting, new event providing the sport of boxing with a much-needed boost in positive, worldwide exposure while offering fans an evening of great entertainment.
