"Panchito" Zepeda is Ready to Ruin Paul Spadafora's Ring Return!

Spadafora – returning for his first fight in over two years – will headline Acri’s 22nd annual Erie Boxing Classic, Wednesday, November 22, at The Avalon Hotel (16 West 10th Street) in Erie, PA. The first bout will begin at 8 P.M. EST.

Spadafora’s (38-0-1, 15 KOs), ring return is the beginning of a personal quest to win another world title -- this time in the junior welterweight division. He captured the IBF world lightweight title in 1999, upsetting the heavily-favored Israel Cardona, winning a lopsided decision. After successfully defending his world championship belt eight times during his four-year reign, he vacated the title to move up to the 140-pound division.
Zepada (16-3, 9 KOs), a southpaw from Shelbyville, IN, by way of Cocula, Mexico, is a former NABC Great Lakes and Indiana State lightweight champion.
“What a great Thanksgiving this will be,” said Zepeda from his training camp. “I’m going to turn Spadafora’s ring return into his ring retirement. Viva Zepeda!”
An undercard will be announced in the near future.
Remaining tickets, priced at $60 (Golden Ringside), $40 (Ringside) and $20 (General Admission), can be purchased at The Avalon Hotel, Dee’s Cigar Store, Johnny’s Sports Bar and Ringside Restaurant.
