Huck and Aurino to meet for EU Cruiserweight title on Dec 16

21.11.06 - The wait is over: Marco "Captain" Huck will be getting his first-ever title fight on December 16 when he clashes with Italyīs Pietro Aurino for the EU cruiserweight crown. Both fighters were originally scheduled to meet on November 4 before an arm injury forced the German to pull out of the bout at the end of October..

KO-King Huck (16-0, 13 KOs) canīt wait to get his hands on Aurino (37-2, 16 KOs) - and the belt. "The delay has made me even hungrier," undefeated Huck vowed. "Iīve put the injury worries behind me. My arm does not bother me any more. I`m in top shape again. This is the moment I have been waiting for."

Huck boasts an impressive record of 16 wins in as many fights. He has knocked out all but three of his opponents. "A KO is all that matters for me," Huck said of the fight in Kempten. "I want to drop Aurino under the Christmas tree. One thing I know for sure - the belt stays in Germany."

The sky is the limit for the 22-year-old youngster, according to Sauerland sports director Hagen Doering. "Marco has skyrocketed his way past the rankings. It was about time for his first title fight."

Also in action will be former European champion Sebastian Sylvester (23-2, 10 KOs), who lost his title to Amin Asikainen in June. A rematch is likely to happen early in 2007. "The fight in Kempten will be a good preparation," said the Finnīs mandatory challenger.

Kai Kurzawa, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Dominik Britsch, Alexander Frenkel, Karo Murat and Martin Kempf will also showcase their talents on the undercard
