Zam Zam stops Mike Miranda in three

By Per Ake Persson: November 24, Copenhagen, Denmark: WBA I/C jr middle champ Reda Zam Zam had no problems against Brazilian southpaw Mike Miranda. Zam Zam controlled the fight from the beginning and had Miranda under pressure. In the third the Dane hurt his opponent with left hooks to the body and followed up with a right-left hook combination to the head and the Brazilian went down. As he got up on unsteady legs British referee Paul Thomas wisely called a halt to the one-sided fight. Zam Zam is now 22-0. Miranda was billed as 26-1 coming in..

The African Warrior, Evans Ashira, returned to action in Denmark with a unanimous points win after eight against Belgian veteran Mike Algoet. Algoet, a southpaw, spoiled his way through the contest. Ashira looked all considered pretty good and will now go for the vacant IBF I/C 160 lb title December 15.

Former EBU welter champ Christian Bladt had again a tough night but outscored Domingos Monteiro from Luxembourg over six.

Cruiser Anders Hugger stopped Elvesio Sobral in the first of a scheduled six-rounder.

WBA and WBC female bantam champ Anita Christensen won every round against American Jessica Mohs.

Next Team Palle show is scheduled for Slagelse December 15 and features outside of Evans Ashira a hot matchup between lightweights Martin Kristjansen and Italian veteran Stefano Zoff. At stake are the WBO I/Cand EU titles.

Swedish heavy Aldo Colliander appears to be on for a fight against Russian Dennis Bakhtov December 3 in Ekaterinburg with the interim PABA title at stake.
