Jason Litzau-Jorge Hernandez: Hernandez back with a vengeance!
16.12.06 - By Izyaslav “Slava” Koza: Ever Since Jorge Hernandez sent Jason Litzau down in the first, it seemed that Litzau had every opportunity to step it up and take Hernandez out. Throughout most of the bout I was wandering why the hell Jason Litzau was not coming in to finish his opponent off..
The fight was taking a turn for the worse for Hernandez and it was justifiable to some degree to let the ref stop the fight. That is until I remembered where I had seen Hernandez before and where I had written about him before. For those who remember and for those who don’t, here is a link to a little known telefutura fight that I was drug obsessing about violently:
From that point on, I wish my foot would have been long enough to kick myself for even thinking that Jason Litzau should have done anything other then boxing the way he did. Unfortunately, for Litzau he might have missed the Escalante Hernandez bout. Just at the moment where I yelled at the TV for Litzau to run the rest of the way, exciting or not, he got caught cold and what we like to call got knocked out!
To be honest, after remembering and reminiscing about the Escalante Hernandez bout I have to say that it was Hernandez who should have gotten hyped up before the bout.
Jorge Hernandez just put an exclamation point on why he is the next Blood and Guts Gatti type warrior. Even though Litzau should not be ashamed with his performance, and nor should other fighters take him lightly cause of it, I hope to God we get to see Hernandez in the ring and on TV in high profile fights in the near future.
