Boxer Kemal Kolenovic - Killed In Attempting To Stop Fight Outside NYC Bar

31.12.06 - Middleweight boxer, Kemal Kolenovic, (10-6-2, 5 KOs) was killed on Sunday, December 31st, while bravely trying to breakup a fight that had started inside a bar in the Bronx, New York. Apparently, two bar patrons had gotten into a heated argument, which led to them taking the fight outside. Kolenovic, 28, trying to be helpful, stepped in and attempted to stop the fight, hoping to settle things. However, despite his efforts, one of the two men involved in the argument then got into his vehicle and drove onto the sidewalk and struck Kolenovic, killing him. The driver of the vehicle then got out of the car, an SUV, and then ran from the scene, escaping into the night. Kolenovic, originally came from Montenegro, moving to the United States, and trying to make a career in boxing.
