16.01.07 - Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing proudly announces the signing of one of the hottest up-and-coming prospects in boxing, red-hot Dominican welterweight boxer/puncher Delvin Rodriguez (20-1-1, 12 KOs). Naturally powerful with impressive boxing skills, the 26-year-old native of Santiago de los Caballeros, now living in Danbury, Connecticut, comes to Star Boxing on a 10- fight winning streak, including 7 knockouts..

“Delvin is the near future of the welterweight division and we’re happy he’s made the right decision for his career,” said Star Boxing CEO Joe DeGuardia. “He has all the tools to become world champion and the punching power to create the highlight-reel knockouts the fans love. We’ll make the moves to quickly put him in line for his first title shot.”

“We’re thrilled to be part of the Star Boxing stable”, noted Rodriguez manager Stan Hoffman, “and I’m confident Joe will guide Delvin to the top of the Welterweight division”.

Showing constant improvement, he has followed the victory up with other eye-catching ppages over noteworthy opposition including Oba Carr conqueror Luther Smith, former world title challenger Virgil McClendon, and a USBA title-winning TKO 3 over Luis Hernandez.

“Delvin is a tireless worker in the gym; he’s a devoted father and a credit to the sport in every way. We’re looking forward to making him the star he deserves to be in boxing,” said DeGuardia.
