European Boxing News: Jurgen Brahmer Extends Contract With Universum

18.01.07 - By Per Ake Persson: German super middleweight Jurgen Brahmer has prolonged his contract with Universum. Itīs stated in a press release from Universum that the contract now will run until the end of Brahmerīs career. There was an offer on the table from Arena Box Promotion but Brahmer turned it down. Jurgen will next fight February 24 in Oberhausen when Silvio Branco defends the WBA lightheavy title against Stipe Drews and will be one of the featured fighters on Universumīs and ZDFīs "Champions Night" program.

Malik Dziarra, down to middle, take on Dane Fawaz Nasir February 17 in Magdeburg. Female supermiddle Natascha Ragosina headlines.

Welter Antonio Lauri and middleweight Luciano Lombardi will be on the undercard to Piccirillo vs Jones in Milano January 25.

Newly crowned EBU lightheavy champ Thomas Ulrich has Ukrainian Yuri Barashian as mandatory challenger.

It appears that Slovenian welter Jan Zaveck is back with SES after a very brief stint with Don King Productions and will go for the vacant EU title with Italian Luciano Abis as co-challenger.

Swiss cruiser Nuri Seferi will take on Croatian Sinisa Puljak on the huge undercard to Valuev vs McCline January 20 in Basel.
