Hot Prospect Aaron Williams Added To Hitz Card In Chicago
23.01.07 - Undefeated cruiserweight prospect Aaron Williams (10-0-1, 8 KO’s) will appear on Bobby Hitz’ “Wednesday Night Fights” card, tonight, January 24th, in Hoffman Estates, IL, 35-minutes northwest of Chicago. The Las Vegas cruiserweight takes a step-up in competition when he meets Charles Davis (17-10). Davis’ opponents have a 70% winning percentage and he’s only be stopped twice. He also has a win over former cruiserweight kingpin, Arthur Williams..
Williams has spent this training camp as Chad Dawson’s main sparring partner. Dawson faces Tomasz Adamek, February 3rd, for Adamek’s WBC title.
“I’m in great shape,” Williams said after Tuesday night’s weigh-in at the beautiful Sears Centre. “Chad is a very slick and quick guy. I learned a lot from working with him and I think he’s going to be the new champion.”
Williams’ trainer, former WBA Light Heavyweight Champion, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, is very bullish on his young charge. “Aaron is a student of the game and he’s working with the best fighters in the world. He’s only 20 years old and I think it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a world champion.”
Gonzales will be part of Bobby Hitz’ “Wednesday Night Fights,” January 24th at the Sears Centre, Hoffman Estates, IL. The Sears Centre is a 35 minute commute from Chicago. The action starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased by calling (847) 649-2222, Warehouse Gym & Boxing Club (847) 831-0723, or, by going to searscentre.com.
