Abell steals the show in Sweden
Philadelphia (January 30, 2007)—This past Saturday saw the first boxing event in Sweden in thirty-seven years and heavyweight Joey Abell was the talk of the night. Abell moved to 11-1 with eleven knockouts as he stopped Ergrin Solmaz of Germany in two rounds of their scheduled four round bout in Gothenberg, Sweden. Abell put on such dominating performance that the corner of Solmaz threw in the towel after the end of the round..

“He stole the show and he is ready to avenge that setback” said longtime matchmaker Don Elbaum who was in the Scandinavian country to watch Abell’s impressive performance.
That setback Elbaum is talking about is the controversial stoppage that Arron Lyons scored last December 1st at The Legendary Blue Horizon over Abell.
On Friday, February 9th, the question of “Can Lightning Strike Twice?” for Lyons will be asked at The Legendary Blue Horizon as he takes on Abell in a much anticipated scheduled six round heavyweight rematch.
The co-feature has a similar backdrop as Marty Lindquist will try to duplicate his October ten second destruction of Max Alexander of Camden, New Jersey in a scheduled eight round light-heavyweight bout.
Lindquist of Blaine, Minnesota shocked a pro-Alexander crowd with a crunching punch that knocked Alexander out cold for ten minutes.
Lindquist’s victory was short lived as he failed a post fight drug test and the bout was ruled a no-contest.
“Can Lightning Strike Twice?” for Lindquist or can Alexander (12-0-1) stay undefeated on February 9th,
An outstanding undercard has been assembled that will feature Blue Horizon crowd favorites, Elad Shmouel, Gee Culmer and Lenny DeVictoria to name a few
